Who Dish?

I have been obsessed with real, clean food for at least a decade, and spend much of my free time learning as much as I can about optimizing health and nutrition (while still being very human and having fun!) I am not a professional nutritionist or dietician, though the amount of books read, research conducted, and kitchen experimentation/play I have done might suggest otherwise!

I embarked on this project to explore eating well, and to inspire myself and others to eat even better. I started the Whole 30 strict paleo challenge on January 1, 2013, and began this blog to motivate me through that challenge and beyond.

I named this blog “Evolving Dish” because while I follow a more or less Paleo/Primal/Ancestral diet, I recognize that scientific understanding and theories about optimal food choices are ever evolving, like we all are, and I want to give you the dish on my evolving understanding. I don’t pretend to have all the answers, or be perfect, or condescending to the “unenlightened.” I am here to have fun, learn, and share that spirit with my readers.

I live in Southern Oregon with my dog Panda. I am obsessed with real food, nutrition and learning. While working at my day job as a lawyer, I am often dreaming of food. I have dabbled in herbology, jewelry making, writing, am a certified Laughter Yoga practitioner, Reiki Master, and generally like to study and collect certificates and then move on to the next interest.
